Since 2013, Calgary Floating Lanterns for Peace has brought you the Lantern Peace Festival in honor of those who were lost in Hiroshima and Nagasaki – with the aim of educating the public about the dangers of nuclear weapons and bringing people together to stand for PEACE. Over the last few years we have expanded our programming to include more events during the month of August as part of the Building A Culture of Peace Month. Our exhibit of the same name is now available to tour.

We Honor Hiroshima and Nagasaki Days

August 6 and 9 are the dates when we honor those who were impacted by the atomic bombs. We can create solidarity and never have such atrocity happen to the future generations in the world.
